About Jack Stocken

Jack has recently moved back to his native Yorkshire, having managed the Andrew Robson Bridge Club for the past seven years. He is now teaching bridge in the same style as at the London Club, with an emphasis on a friendly atmosphere and enjoyment of the game.

He continues to run Andrew Robson's holiday programme, which includes a ski trip to Klosters and a Mediterranean Cruise. His attitude to the game is that it is for everyone to enjoy on different levels and for teaching to be clear and not over-complicated. Playing bridge should be more of a social event than a competition.

He was a member of the English Junior Squad and has also represented Yorkshire. He has won several tournaments including the prestigious Year End Swiss Pairs with his father Peter, and in 2008 the Yorkshire Masters Pairs with Phil Godfrey.

Jack is married to Annabel who also plays bridge and assists him on bridge holidays and in the running of Yorkshire Bridge. In his spare time, Jack likes playing golf and appearing on TV game shows.
